• ftp server request

    could you make it so you can set how many ip from one ip number (each sysop can set limit), on the ftp server. some sysop have a big band width and some of us have ok, but when someone start 5+ download it slow things down, thanks :)

    Could you set MaxConcurrentConnections in your sbbs.ini file? It defaults to
    0 which I guess means unlimited. I don't see why people would need than one than one connection to a BBS anyway. Not sure if that affects ftp or not.
    Rob would have to answer that, but it's easy to test.

    That setting is only for the Terminal Server (thus it's in the [BBS] section of sbbs.ini).

    I get alot qwk networking, thoes are ok, I have set it high for them, like I said, have it set for ip number only, not the amount of connection on the ftp

    I need to stick in all the straws I can when I go to suck those ftp
    servers dry. :P

    When you are downloading a lot of smaller files like bbs doors from
    cdrom.com the multiple connections are nice.

    Probably not a good thing for your bbs running at home though.
