• All nodes stuck in event?

From Max Haven@VERT/RDFIG to All on Saturday, November 08, 2014 06:37:00
HELP! I updated my BBS from CVS the other day (2014 Nov 5). The compile went ok and it looks like everything came back online properly but no mail is being tossed. Apparently the system is stuckin an event and I can't make it stop.

When this first happened, I spent some time with Uncle Google and found a message from some years back that said to delete the CTRL/NODE.DAB and CTRL/TIME.DAB files. I shut down the board, deleted those files and restarted the board. The files were recreated but the problem remains. What can I do to fix this?

Can you describe the problem in more detail and/or provide log output (e.g. from syslog)?

I'm going to attempt a guess here, and say that when you originally shut it down to upgrade an event was running. Check your /sbbs/data directory for an odd event semaphore (*.now) that may not have been deleted because the event was terminated abruptly. If you see something like "fidoin.now" just sitting in
