Just curious, is there an way to list the actual FTN network on the Info Screen. The first example is how it displays now, Is there a way to make it display like the second example. Not a big deal, just vanity info purposes. As always, thanks.

There's no setting in SCFG where you'd enter "ValNet" (in that example). All FTNs are just "FidoNet" as far as Synchronet is concerned. You could create a custom text/system.msg with that information and blank out those strings in your text.dat or maybe do some funky editing of your text.dat to get that data in there.

What if you changed the text.dat string to "Network Address" and printed the 5d address, if domains are configured?

Hey, I like that idea, but I think I would call it "FTN Network
Address"
FTN Network Address: 1:275/93@fidonet
FTN Network Address: 427:10/1@valnet

That's a little redundant, don't you think?

LOL, I see what you mean, wasn't thinking that way at that
moment. Actually I was thinking about keeping it simple to
understand for the Users.

How many users do you reckon know what "FTN" stand for?
My guess is that the number is VERY near zero, and then fewer still that would care what that info screen says... ;-)

First you said you thought "FTN Node" was redundant,
and then you make the argument that probably near zero users
actually know what FTN stands for..? :P
