I wasn't. I'm saying you're not the first to have nuked your BBS and you won't be the last, but if you refer to the wiki, it'll help you avoid those pitfalls so many of us find on our own.
I already knew what files to not override... my biggest error was not
backing up first... second was not checking the directories individually
vs. just blind extracting the full zip file over the top.
I wasn't *that* worried about it, as all my modifications were in source control, and I hadn't really customized the configuration. I did forget
to update the VERT callout line though.
I do apologize for assuming you were being snarky in your statement...
based on another comment you made, it wasn't a huge leap. I'm also a
bit on edge and stressed out all things considered.
