No telling. But, I have the -na command in the NNTP services entry
to block anonymous entries (I think that's what it is...I do my QWK
mail on a different computer than the BBS one).

Years ago, there was a program called PKSFANSI -- it was made by
PKWare, the same company that did PKZIP and PKUNZIP (the late Phil
Katz did these). PK Safe ANSI was a TSR that prevented ANSI bombs
from remapping your keyboard.

I think I may still have it in my files area, but I don't know if
it's valid on today's CPU's and OS's.

Android tablets have been doing fairly well for quite a while. And in some markets, Android marketshare exceeds iOS:

Apple hasn't sued any Android mobile device makers yet.. Personally I tend to use Android, but that's mainly what I'm used to. I used to have an iPod Touch a long time ago, but I got a smart phone (Android) and sold my iPod Touch.

And it lets you install apps from 3rd-party sources..
I had an iPod Touch a long time ago (2008) and decided to jailbreak it. I had no regrets about it. I never had to get warranty service, so I was okay. I liked being able to install apps that weren't available in the Apple app store (and at the time, I seem to remember I had bought mine when there wasn't even an iOS app store yet, as many of the 3rd-party apps for it were web-based).

Also, jailbreaking it allowed an SSH connection with command prompt access. I thought it would be interesting to try to build and run Synchronet on an iOS device.. I never tried that though.
