I downloaded one and it looked pretty nice but needed to be registered
and it was a old file.

Which one? If it was written in Baja (it's a .bin file), it'd be pretty trivial to decompile it (with unbaja), modify it, and the recompile (with baja) to circumvent any "registration checks". Assuming it's abandonware.

Look at the created .src with a text editor, searching for "registration". Start there.

Doesn't include the ansi, but you can use login2.js and related js files here...
