I don't doubt I have something set up wrong, but here goes...
It used to be when I was logged onto the BBS via the web interface, I could click on File Libraries, it would open up a page and I could click on and download files.
Now, whether I am using Firefox or Chromium, when I click on File
Libraries, I am asked if I want to open or download the 00index.html file. If I choose open, it will open that page OK, but every link on that page is prefixed with "file:///" instead of "http://" or "ftp:" . So, of course,
it thinks that every link is on the local machine.
Is that a bug I picked up during a recent pull down, or do I have something set up wrong now?

00index.txt with extension will help to "open with text editor" intead
of "Save only" for most browsers.
thanks!

The long-held standard was "00index" (no extension) and FTP clients (e.g. FTP E

Are there any plans to turn the File Areas on the web interface over from ftp to http?

I think echicken's ecwebv4 already uses HTTP for the files, but I'm sure echicken can correct me if
I'm wrong.

It does. I probably need to give the File Library features some more attention, but they exist and they work.
Also, I don't think there's any consistent plan for updating or maintaining the stock/runemaster web UI, so the chances of its File Libray stuff being upgraded are pretty slim.

I thought I read that the plan was to eventually just include your ecweb as part of Synchronet (I know it was with the last release, but the Runemaster interface was still there too, as an option). It seems like the Runemaster interface hasn't had much attention for a long time. Yours seems simpler to add to and maintain, and it works well, so I don't see why ecweb couldn't be the standard web interface for Synchronet now.

Yes. There's already at least one implementation of that: http://web.synchro.net/?page=002-files.xjs

Is that echicken's interface (which I have on my to-do list to add), or is that something else? Whatever it is, I like it.
