    By using the node utility or the ;LOCK sysop command.

    Google-foo refers to your ability to search, not necessarily buy using Google dorf.

    You really have some serious issues to deal with man. Quit insulting people on a regular basis. Not good for your reputation.

    You're welcome.

    That's because your search skills are lacking. When you search
    for such a specific term ("locking nodes"), you are very unlikely
    to find it. Search for "node" or "lock" and see what you see...

    This same principle applies to searching anywhere else, also, such
    as Google or somewhere else (not only on the Synchronet Wiki).
    Now you know.

    The question is........ will you remember?

    You said you looked up locking nodes but nothing came up, but you did end up finding it on the wiki?

    doesn't matter... know your meme... google-fu == search ;)

    in other words, your search terms were not enough to find what you were after... searching for "node control" would take you to the page for the node tool...

    http://wiki.synchro.net/util:node

    reading that page you start with the usage and then there's a short tutorial section that contains several examples... one of which is specifically locking a node to prevent it from being used...

    Example #2: To lock node 1, type:
    node lock on 1
