    Hi all

i'm have my fidonet node 4:NNN/XX

i want to have some downlinks points (4:NNN/XX.pp) to test fido software

should i set the "Route" option to 4:NNN/XX for each point?
or must leave as "Disable" ?

    thanks!

no, set a global route for them and let that handle it... like this...

    Linked Node - 1:123/160.ALL

    Address 1:123/160.ALL
    Domain fidonet
    Name
    Comment Fidonet points of 1:123/160
    Archive Type None
    Packet Type 2+
    Packet Password YYYYYYYY
    Session Password ZZZZZZZZ
    TIC File Password
    AreaFix Support No
    AreaFix Password
    EchoList Keys
    Status Normal
    Direct Yes
    Passive No
    Send Notify List No
    Uplink for Message Groups
    Local Address (AKA) 1:3634/12
    Route To 1:123/160

the above routes all 1:123/160.* to 1:123/160 using the same session and packet
passwords as defined in the record for 1:123/160...

Sorry, i'm bit confused with the example AKA that you use.. I will try to use my real addresses:

I have a 4:902/26 ftn node address at sbbs.
    My points will be 4:902/26.XXX
    My boss are 4:90/1

i already have 4:90/1 as linked node (my uplink) this is ok
So, must i add this (another) linken node with the 4:902/26.ALL for global points capture?

    Are these settings okay?

    Linked Node - 4:902/26.ALL
    Address 4:902/26.ALL
    Domain fidonet
    Name
    Comment Fidonet points of 4:902/26
    Archive Type None
    Packet Type 2+
    Packet Password YYYYYYYY
    Session Password ZZZZZZZZ
    TIC File Password
    AreaFix Support No
    AreaFix Password
    EchoList Keys
    Status Normal
    Direct Yes
    Passive No
    Send Notify List No
    Uplink for Message Groups
    Local Address (AKA) 1:3634/12 <===========
    Route To 4:902/26

Must be the local Adress (AKA) 4:902/26 too???

    Thanks!

Sorry, i'm bit confused with the example AKA that you use..

what confused you? what were we trying to do? i forget :(

    Send Notify List No
    Uplink for Message Groups
    Local Address (AKA) 1:3634/12 <===========
    Route To 4:902/26

Must be the local Adress (AKA) 4:902/26 too???

i found it better to specify my address that i wanted the packets to be from so yes... this because if you have several addresses, packets might not be addressed from the address you prefer...
