    Got it... ripped the respective part out of the showmsghdr.js

    Yes, this appears to be already covered on http://wiki.synchro.net/module:avatars under "3.16":
    If you have an already-customized text/menu/msghdr.asc file, you can alternatively add the following line to to the end (before the last blank line, if you wish to have a blank line separating the message header and body) of the msghdr.asc file:

    @exec:SHOWMSGAVATAR@

    Gotcha... I came across something different that seemed to render the default header.. My own error... in any case, need to work on it, as I'd like to get the header to grow with wider screens than 80col.
