The configuration file is the default one. NEVER touched what can it be?

Are you talking about bullseye.js or the old bullseye.bin? In either case, you have the source code (e.g. exec/bullseye.js) so you could certainly experiment with it to find out what the issue is. My guess is that the configuration file (text/bullseye.cfg) doesn't actually have any files listed.

Hi Digital Man, all the files in the bullseye.cfg are present in the correct directory (they are the default ones, I haven't changed anything):

    0
    ../text/system.msg
    ../text/newuser.msg
    ../text/sbbs.msg
    ../docs/dove-net.txt

The only thing, the files have been customized with my graphics and in any case
even if I try to replace the original ones of the system it doesn't go the same.

what permissions does your bullseye.cfg have?

You can try modifying exec/bullseye.js to try and confirm:
    1. that you're running bullseye.js (and not bullseye.bin), and
    2. that it's actually reading the bullseye.cfg file and parsing it correctly

    With a text editor.

How have you confirmed that the cfg file is read correctly?

I'm using the beta versions of synchronet downloaded from the official website.

It's very unlikely to be a Synchronet issue but rather more likely to be an issue with the .cfg file or the .js file.

you still have permissions on win7... ever since NT and the move away from the old 95/98 stuff...
