no moreso than any other FTN mailer but DB will only be able to operate in mailer mode... nothing else... well, maybe as a tic processor but certainly not
doing any FTN mail tossing... sbbsecho might also need to be told to leave netmail and file attaches as MSG files so that DB can find them... unfortunately, DB is a file attach mailer and sbbsecho doesn't currently support FA mailers, IIRC... that since its latest code updates... so with that mix of thoughts as i wrote this, it may be possible but will likely be tricky... probably not a task for someone who is not intimately familiar with both packages...

Being a 16-bit DOS program, I think think it (D'Bridge) is generally "harder" (more difficult) to setup than most other FTN mailers.

is it still 16bit? i thought it was up to 32bit by now...

it is a bit harder but mainly because it is three apps in one... mailer, mail tosser, and tic processor... granted the config methodology is a bit weird but that stems from its original design... it actually had its own OS built into it... or maybe i should say it was its own OS... kinda like another one from those days... all based on the original developers' work/training with early computer OSes and interfaces... kinda like WWIV BBS' interface and methodology being based on one of the old mainframes...

It is like a mainframe interface? Maybe I should check it out. :)

What would you recommend if someone wanted to support EMSI connections over the internet?

    Thanks!

FWIW, I use Taurus in front of SBBS on Windows feeding EMSI downlinks.

Does Taurus know how to hand off a telnet "call" to SBBS?

Yes. The first step in your batch file is to load a fossil, so I load netfoss. ...ëîå*
