    Thank you

Sounds like you're on the right track.

Okay may I ask how you fixed that, I use win 10 64 bit. I did go to the directory

also how do I dowmload lordtxt.lrd from web site /sbbs/xrtn/lord

    Okay, that's good to hear.

Do you have any .tmp or .tmp.lock files in your xtrn/lord directory? If so, try deleting them. The lockup I saw was in fmutex() in lord.js trying to create/touch the a mail*.tmp.lock file.

I'm not sure what you're referring to there.

okay, well if I put lordtxt.lrd and run jsexec when finish it proccesing it lock the dos command
normaly it just finish proccessing and go back to the dos prompt , if I go in local via bbs, it locks
about the same place welcome screen so maybe I have not saved the lordtxt the right way

none of these files, but I have install twice first time yes did get those files I deleted them
still the same second time none of those files but still`same

the trouble is I read the sysop doc can follow it but it just I don't really know what files are
meant to be in lord dir to run lord.js there a lot of files in web site /sbbs/xrtn/lord Am I a meant
to put all those files in the lord dir excluding the one that have deleted in the discription

Sounds like you did a copy/paste from cvs to your local computer. If anything was missed you're going to have a problem. I would start from scratch in xtrn/lord and cvs update. If I'm mistaken, then I'm not sure why you were in notpad++ for that file?

Okay thank you, I will start again from scratch in xtrn/lord and cvs update, as for notpad++ yes I probably not doing that right, just don't now how
to get it from web site sbbs/xtrn/lord to my local drive, on site there is
2 option view and download it I can click on download and I can go into that option but don't know were the option or how to downloaded it hence the

so you right I shouldn't be useing that my question is how do I, or do the cvs update bit. I am on wondows 10 64 bit.

You click the "Download GNU tarball" link at http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/xtrn/lord/

This will download the file sbbs-lord.tar.gz into your browser's "Downloads" folder. You open the file with an archive manager (e.g. WinZip, WinRar, 7Zip) and extract the contents into your xtrn/lord directory.

Alternatively, you could use command-line tools (e.g. gunzip, tar) to extract the files from the tarball, but that takes some practice.

Try removing or renaming your mods/logon.js and see if things work normally again. If yes, the compare your modified logon.js with the stock exec/logon.js and merge in any relevant changes. Or just copy exec/logon.js to mods/logon.js and reapply your modification(s).
