  • Auto Login

    So I created a user with the V Exemption (to use auto login).

    I logged into the BBS, and the first time it prompted for a username/password (which is OK, since I know there were no user records that had that IP address.

    But when I logged off and connected again, I was still prompted to login. I confirmed via uedit that the user has the IP address recorded.

    Should auto login assumed the login was for that user the 2nd time, because it was the same IP address?

    OK, so I found another toggle in UEDIT which was enable Auto Login - and yes turning that on worked. Why the two settings?

    Exemptions are controlled by the sysop, only. The other toggle is user-selectable, so V-exempt users can choose whether to have auto-login enabled for their account or not.
