• Convert Netmails

    Howdy,

I'm planning on shutting down my MBSE and Mystic BBSes and moving all mail to Synchronet.

While for Echomail I can just "rescan" from those BBS to move mail into rescan, how can I move my Netmails?

I'd like to keep them if possible - looking for tips.

If you can get the message into .msg (FTS-1) format, SBBSecho should be able to import them (from your netmail directory) just fine.

    Ahh, great.

Can you (or somebody) suggest a utility for JAM?

Golded can do this. If you have your current messages in Jam format, create a new netmail area that uses *.Msg format and copy the messages you want to import into SBBS there. Then move them into your SBBS netmail area and import them.

The above assumes that you have golded setup. If that's not so you can create a
basic config with the sample simple.cfg to get started.

Ahh, awesome, I have golded - I'll have a play.

    Thank you...

A utility to export from JAM to .msg? I'm sure there are many... but I can name one in particular.
