• Force newscan at login?

Is there a way to force a new scan of a particular message base on login? I could have sworn I did that once before.

I do believe that for a particular sub-board you can toggle Forced On For New Scan to YES

That forces the board on a message scan, what I'm hoping for is to force a newscan of my system notices message area as part of the logon process.

If all else fails, you could write a ssjs to display a notice and set it as a logon even??

Yeah, you could create a logon event (SCFG->External Programs->Online Programs ... Execute On Event = Logon Only) which executes bbs.scan_posts(SCAN_NEW) - and it'll scan all the subs, including those you have configured to forced "on" for new-scan, or you could just call bbs.scan_msgs(<sub_code>, SCAN_NEW) to force a new-scan of messages in a single area.

I believe you can log into you vert account and reset the the message bases there, then you can rescan them from your BBS.
