This is my first time setting up a BBS, so bare with me being a n00b.

I have gotten my BBS to receive messages from DOVE-Net without a problem, but it appears that messages are not getting out. I have followed the instructions on the Synchronet Wiki on how to have a QWK network established, so I am not sure what I am missing.

I am not sure if this makes a difference, but I am running my BBS in a VM, with Debian 9 as the guest operating system; and I used the source files downloaded from the this wiki page: http://wiki.synchro.net/install:nix

I went the through the Non-CVS route of building Synchronet.

Just let me know what more information you need or help me understand what I missed.

Sure. What's your system's QWK-ID?

What does your event log say when your system performs a DOVE-Net "call-out" event and you have some posted messages (on DOVE-Net) to be sent? Perhaps you're just having an FTP upload issue (?).

What does your event log say when your system performs a DOVE-Net "call-out" event and you have some posted messages (on DOVE-Net) to be sent? Perhaps you're just having an FTP upload issue (?).

The problem is on this end:

I was recently toying with the twit-list (name filtering) capability and apparently broke something. Many others QWKnet nodes have been accidentally filtered lately too. Whoops. :-(
