• relay mail

    I just reset up relay email through mail.synchro.net
    outbound is working but not inbound.
    here is error I get
    1/21 08:50:36a !SMTP Transfer Agent ERROR 11004 calling getaddrinfo() on <ANY>
    I followed the wiki
    not sure what problem is
    any idea's?

    "<ANY>" is not a valid IP address. Check your sbbs.ini file (or your configuration settings in SBBSCTRL) for that value and change it to "0" or "0,::" if you want both IPv4 and IPv6 support.

    so 0 should be in "0" ?

    I'm not really sure of your question. "0" is short for 0.0.0.0, which means "any IPv4 network interface". "::" is short for the same thing, but in IPv6.

    Ok got that fixed, also got bounced email from my Google account showing that my port 587 is not opened so l will fix that when I get home tonight:) thank you for all your help.

    My big problem was port 587 was not opened oops.
    The problem was that when I redod my bbs I also moved it to my other server and had thought l had all ports forwarded to my other server so that is now fixed and all is well again in the land of OZ :)
