• Compiling on Mac

    From Kirkman@VERT/GUARDIAN to All on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 13:10:15
    As an experiment, I'm trying to compile SBBS on my Mac running High Sierra 10.13.6.

    I managed to work my way past a few SpiderMonkey-related errors, but now I'm being stymied at this point:

    Compiling ../comio/comio_nix.c
    Linking clang.darwin.x64.lib.release/libsbbs.dylib
    error: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoo lchain/usr/bin/libtool: unknown option character `W' in: -Wl,-rpath,@executable_path/../Frameworks
    Usage: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoo lchain/usr/bin/libtool -static [-] file [...] [-filelist listfile[,dirname]] [-arch_only arch] [-sacLT] [-no_warning_for_no_symbols]
    Usage: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoo lchain/usr/bin/libtool -dynamic [-] file [...] [-filelist listfile[,dirname]] [-arch_only arch] [-o output] [-install_name name] [-compatibility_version #] [-current_version #] [-seg1addr 0x#] [-segs_read_only_addr 0x#] [-segs_read_write_addr 0x#] [-seg_addr_table <filename>] [-seg_addr_table_filename <file_system_path>] [-all_load] [-noall_load] make[1]: *** [clang.darwin.x64.lib.release/libsbbs.dylib] Error 1

    For reference, I'm running the following make command:

    CC=clang CXX=clang++ make install SYMLINK=1

    Anyway idea what I could do to get past this? I see this on StackOverflow, but I'm not very good at compiler stuff: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/271393 81/ios-libtool-unknown-option-character-w-in-wl-u-jscontextgetglobalobject
