• E-mail Recieving vis no-ip.com reflector

From Sneaky@VERT/CHOICE to All on Monday, July 23, 2018 18:00:00
    Hi All

I am hoping same one can help with a problem I have per receieving e-mail outbound is fine with the relay option but inbound is not

I was on dtdns.com and thing were fine with no-ip.com reflector via
dtdns.com but since changed to no-ip.com for my 1stchoicecore.co.nz
with the right settings, but now inbound so not sure if it is
no-ip.com settings or sbbs settings, a while back I had to do same thing
with email.can in text dir, but must have over ridden it, and cannot
find it in any backups I have of the sbbs\text dir, so
I am hoping same one can help me get the e-mail flowing again.

    Thank you

You'll need to provide more information. What error gets reported back to the email sender? Do you see any incoming connections to your SMTP server? If yes, are there any errors? Is your TCP port 25 open to the public?

I am hoping same one can help me get the e-mail flowing again.

You'll need to provide more information. What error gets reported back to
    the email sender?

I sent a e-mail from my bbs to imsegers@xtra.co.nz and it arrived in my mail box
I replied back to return address sneaky@1stchoicecore.co.nz and was sent
No error got reported back to me.

Do you see any incoming connections to your SMTP server?

seen nothing in incoming connections per the in the sbbs mail server
    outgoing no incoming

If yes, are there any errors?

    so no errors

Is your TCP port 25 open to the
    public?

    Yes port 25 is open

been intouch with no-ip.com and in my my mail option in my 1stchoicecore.co.nz
is mail.1stchoicecore.co.nz when doing a test in no-ip.com for mail.1stchoicecore.co.nz
it doesn't make a connection to any thing so they say that's why it not sending the
income back to the bbs, but was incoming and outgoing when I was useing dtdns.com
    with no errors

According to your domain name, mail should be received (and presumably forwarded) by mail*.no-ip.com:

    # host 1stchoicecore.co.nz
    1stchoicecore.co.nz has address 125.238.113.131
    1stchoicecore.co.nz mail is handled by 10 mail2.no-ip.com.
    1stchoicecore.co.nz mail is handled by 5 mail1.no-ip.com.

If this is not correct, then you need to remove those "MX" records from your domain name. If your primary host (at 1stchoicecore.co.nz) can receive SMTP mail (on TCP port 25), then you don't need any MX records.

If this is not correct, then you need to remove those "MX" records from your domain name. If your primary host (at 1stchoicecore.co.nz) can

    unsure of this one so
my 1stchoicecore.co.nz name is one freeparking new zealand and there is no mx records
    setting in 1stchoicecore.co.nz services

no-ip.com host my 1stchoicecore.co.nz for telnet etc

    mail1.no-ip.com in nz records etc

in the refector settings it is
    mail.1stchoicecore.co.nz port 465

receive SMTP mail (on TCP port 25), then you don't need any MX records.

usure what port it used as I got reflector service because port 25 was block
    by my provider xtra.co.nz.

as I said in start of message when I had 1stchoicecore.co.nz on dtdns.com it was working fine
since the change to no-ip.com with the mx records the same as dtdns.com I just don't
