    Okay,
What door games were the largest in size with regards to areas to explore or took the longest to beat? I am excluding running external Dos or Linux rogue (nethack) and text interpreter games as I want to focus on programs that were intended to be run on a BBS.
    73s,

    73s,

probably lord2, global war or scrabble was involving if you got people to keep playing.
most doorgames dont take long to beat. you just go through the motions.
they werent meant to be terribly involved.

    I like LORD2 and ARROWBRIDGE 2

Arrowbridge is also an interbbs game through league10, CLANS is also a fun game.

Have you tried either of Shooter Jennings' recent games? Both seem pretty big to me, with lots to explore.

I always liked Operation Overkill ][, although I'm not sure if it falls into the category Dos or Linux rogue games. It is dos based and comes with several maps that will each take time to complete.

pretty sure he wants to run them on his own system and most people
dont run wildcrap. also arent those games just on the operator's bbs and not for download?

Yep, I'm going to install (given time) QEMU here and see how it runs.

Yes, they are his own games, hosted on a central server.

But neither of those questions has anything to do with OP's original query, which was "what door games were the largest".

he's using language like 'running' games and programs; that probably means he is asking about programs he can download and setup.
