Precisely. Some of my FidoNet export pointers were lost (and thus, inadvertedly "reset"). I've made some improvements to the code so the same situation won't happen to others if they run into the same scenario (no free disk space).
I had > 100GB of free disk space on Friday, but a run-away task created an unbounded number of syslog entries which eventually filled the disk and kept

I didn't have the syslog problem until I uncommented it in the SBBS config ini file. It would just keep writing until there was no space left, then knocking everything proportion. syslog is evil.
