I had some time on my hands today and my mind got to thinking (I know,
that's dangerous) but out of that madness I had a thought you could
possibly add a 'phonebook" for each user to configure for their most
popular email/netmail addresses. Could open a pulldown menu that's
configured. Just a thought you can put into your things to do file if you'd want.

I think some people have already that. There's the "Smeg@" module (downloadable here: ftp://vert.synchro.net/main/SMEG/smeg_013.zip

And echicken made one in JS... somewhere.

It was a fancy prompt that looked up a 'To' address for you (using the local user database, nodelist, and qwknodes). No provision for a user-supplied list of favourite addresses.

I'll add it to CVS once I remake the nodelist-browser thing.

I don't know much of JSON, but from what I do know, that seems it could be a oretty simple app you or I could make if we could dig up enough time (and wisdom for myself).. I'm still working out bug squashing from my last binary update.. (I think I screwed something up by NOT trying to screw something up) lol..

It's called mail-prompt.js, and I believe echicken's BBS has it available for download.
