From Michael Trip@VERT to All on Sunday, February 18, 2018 14:03:45
    hi all,

i can't find any dosemu package for raspbian. Can synchronet and dosemu run on a Raspberry pi? does anyone have experience with this type of setup?

    greetingz,

    ftp://outwestbbs.com/raspberry.pi/PITEXTFI/PI_Doors.txt
I believe you can modify to work with synchronet.

never fooled with raspbian you may have to build dosemu from source.. what package manager(s) does raspbian use?

I'm sure its out there somewhere since plenty of people use rasberry pi for mainly emulators, etc.

DOSemu is not availble for Raspian. Different processor architecture. DOSemu only runs on x86 and x86_64 CPUs, Raspian runs on ARM. You need to use a different solution to run DOS programs (such as doors) on the Pi.

Raspian is debian for the raspberry PI
I just use apt-get from the command line to install software.

I assume he just wanted a way to run dos doors on a raspberry pi, I sent him a link to an article how to do that, I have'nt tried it myself.

I see, I did'nt even think about the processor.. that sucks. I guess it has it's pros and cons like everything else. I've just seen so much done with those little things that I thought for sure dosemu should'nt be an issue.

Yeah, it's a trap for new players, other means of emulating DOS have to be used, ones that emulate the x86 CPU as well. :)

apt. It is a debian derivative.
