Hello All.

O.K., I got it set up and (kinda) working. Logging in to the telnet access the BBS gives me plenty to do, everything is there, I can find all the files just uploaded, with descriptions.

Trying to get to the 'File Libraries' via the Synchronet Web Server 1.247 af I log in and look at everything sends me to ftp://squareone.no-ip.org/00index.html?$e6dthkvq and returns a "The page can be displayed" error. Getting to it via CuteFTP is no problem.

This problem is what caused me to give up on this thing before, but maybe yo all can help. I'm getting no other error messages, so what now?

The file areas are the only reason you wanted to give up??? First of all, try using another FTP program and / or check your settings in your current one. Also try: ftp://user name:password@your-domain.ext and see if you can connect to it. I don't use Synchronet's FTP because the directories are listed by Internal Code as opposed to long name, Synch seems do default filenames to shortname format plus I can't seem to map directories unless they are Synch file areas and it doesn't seem to do sub dir's too well. So until this
problem is fixed, I simply use another FTP Server! This has not stopped me from running Synchronet for the rest of its very convenient and fully functional features. FTP does not make or break a BBS. Most BBS Softwares don't even have a built in ftpd. So whats the big deal?

Of course it was a joke. It is always funny when someone who claims to
be an elite haxor and obviously has no clue. Not that I'm calling Belly
a loser. He knows that hacking IP address 192.168.x.x will only gain him access to his own equipment. If he did manage to get through Snipers NAT and firewall and gain access to areas that are restricted that would be
a good haxor. Of course he would promptly tell Sniper and DM what he did so that the hole could be patched.

Actually, 'hacking' 192.168.* won't get me crap... I never use that set of I internally. I usually use something in the 10.* range, and occasionally the 172.16-31.* range.

I also thought that the caps, leet-speak, and intentional typos would give t joke away; I guess humor is lost on some.

When did you ever claim to be an Elite Hax0r? I've never seen you make such a claim. If you have, then it was obviously in jest and some people have difficulty noticing the blatantly obvious! :-)
