    From Daryl Stout@VERT/TBOLT to ALL on Thursday, December 14, 2017 10:16:00
    I read the docs for SpamD, and have Spam Assassin in a separate
    directory on the BBS...updating a section in the MAILPROC.INI file.

    Yet, whenever it runs, I get the error:

    1504 SMTP SPAMC !Error Failure to connect to spamd

    My MAILPROC.INI looks like this with the spamd items:

    [SPAMC]
    Command=spamc.js reject 5.0 spamonly
    AccessRequirements=user equal 0 or guest
    ProcessSpam=false
    ProcessDNSBL=false
    Disabled=false

    Should one of these be different?? Or do I have a typo??

    Do you have spamd (the server/daemon part of SpamAssassin) running?

    You need to specify the "dest" (destination) IP address of the host where spamd is runing, like so:

    Command=spamc.js dest 192.168.1.1 reject 6.0

    Rob,

    Do you have spamd (the server/daemon part of SpamAssassin) running?

    I'll have to check.

    You need to specify the "dest" (destination) IP address of the host where sp DM>is runing, like so:

    Command=spamc.js dest 192.168.1.1 reject 6.0

    OK, I'll try that. I seem to recall now a "daemon mode" for it, when I
    was running another BBS software before Synchronet.
