• Files open error.

This is strange, NEVER had this happened before, but I actually had a (TOO MANY FILES OPEN) error on my system this morning. under linux. When it happened, Synchronet reported as the files it was trying to acess did'nt exist.

It happened when I was using an istance to DosEMU to run SRE and then maintenence runs started for some of my games that run under dosemu.

It is a new one on me.. and it was'nt reporting it under dosemu, it was actually a linux error.. it made it appears as if the ../text ../xtrn .../data directorys did'nt even exist anymore afterward. I had to restart the system.

Maybe it was just the perfect score that created this, but maybe I need to fix up a way to not allow the "DOS" maint rouitines to run while others instances are running. I've already limited ALL of my Dosemu apps to only single node access whether they support multinode or not.

It happens. I find the default Linux open files limitations isn't great for server usage.

Here's a good page on how to increase the open files limits under Linux globally and for users: https://easyengine.io/tutorials/linux/increase-open-files-limit/

Yes i had thought the same thing, i increase max open files and the
error continued, sbbs wont open these files.
The mode and user are correct (i run sbbs as root)
I chown and chmod with exactly and actually permissions and error left.
    Maybe was a filesystem error.
