I need to move my SBBS to another machine. Can I just copy the entire folder over to the new machine? Or do I need to reinstall with 3.16 and then do the upgrade to 3.17 (where I am at now). Then besides the xtrn folder which other folder do I need to copy over to retain my setup?

Generally speaking, you can just copy the folder with a few caveats listed here:
http://wiki.synchro.net/faq:misc#migration

Either way should work. The FAQ above explains which folders to copy over a new install.

didnt you already ask this a few other times?

you arent saying what os you are using.

copy it over and update environmental variables.

if you are on windows copy your fossil over to windows/system32
