• System ID???

From Dumas Walker@VERT/CAPCITY2 to All on Sunday, September 24, 2017 14:03:50
So, could someone remind me where it is that I set my System ID,like the
one used for QWK networking? I tried searching the docs and the wiki on synchro.net, but neither of them liked the search criteria "system ID".
One returned nothing and the other claimed not to know what it was.

I have searched SCFG and sbbs.ini but don't see my system ID in either one
    of those places.

So, what obvious place did I miss? :D

if you goto SCFG Click on the BBS tab then click configuration wizard then hit next 4 or 5 times and there will be you QWK network ID and BBS tag.

do this from your BBS controll panel.

I am running on linux, so there is no wizard. :)

The only place I see my ID in my SBBS.INI file is in the RelayUsername field.
I tried changing that field but the qwk callout event still used the old
value, so I think that is not it. I looked all over the linux version of SCFG and don't see it in there.

It has been so long since I had to set it I forgot how. I am trying to test the upgrade to the latest version on my old BBS box, so I want to change
the system id on that box to be different than the "production" box. :)

Found it! In the linux SCFG, it is under Message Options.

So glad it was not a snake. :)

SCFG->Message Options->BBS ID for QWK Packets.

Thanks, I think I kept missing "Message Options" because I thought I had already been in there. Really, I had just been in "Message Areas." I am
glad you did not program any snakes in there anywhere... I'd have got bit
good quite a few times! :D

I often think that option should have been placed in SCFG->System... but since it is mostly related to messages, that's where it went (and stayed). <shrug>
