I've seen discussion of anti-hacking measures and improved automatic blocking implemented in 3.17.

Do I need to take any measures on my end to enable these or are they turned on by default?

They are on by default, but you can tweak around with them to make them more or less strict.

oops, disregard my post about default.. I had a lot going on at once when I was upgrading plus merging my system to a different OS.

I saw on bbs.a2k.org (vadv bbs) when you initially connect, there is a prompt that says:

I thought this was an innovative way to keep out those bots that logon with the guest account all the time.

I'm sure you can do this in either your login, or logon js. before the login stuff.. if not, a matrix login would help too..

but after a few months of harvesting IPS, most my nodes stay clear of bots now..
