• Files Transfer Menu

From IronMan@VERT to All on Thursday, June 29, 2017 15:43:26
When you first go to the Files Transfer Menu you get prompted:

Search all libraries for new files [Yes] No

Where can you modify that common / screen at? I want to add a graphical screen when it ask to search all
libraries. I can't find the file needed to change this.

    Thanks.
    Kent

First, I'm unsure if the latest Synchronet uses default.src or default.js now, but this is the way I have it..

There currently is no graphical "screen" or ansi for that prompt. But the place
to look would be /sbbs/exec/default.src/bin, which is baja code and needs to be
compiled after editing using /sbbs/exec/baja. If you're going to edit this file, it's better to copy default.src to your /sbbs/mods directory and make your changes there, leaving the one in /sbbs/exec unedited. The one in the mods
    directory will take priority.

Search text for "Search all libraries for new files" and you'll find it. You may have to play with it a little bit, but you can start by adding "menu <nameofmenu>" without quotes after the two "crlf" entries, and before the prompt you searched for. Then create and name your graphical screen (ansi) <nameofmenu> and place it in your sbbs/text/menu directory.

If Synchronet now indeed uses default.js, then that's where you would look, and
that would be javascript, so the commands are different. I believe it's "bbs.menu("<nameofmenu>");" instead.

    Hope that helps!

    Regards,
    Nick

Search all libraries for new files [Yes] No

it's possible in the text.dat, or could be in whatever menuset you are running.
