I wrote about this last week, that the games stopped working on
ecwebv4 suddenly. I thought it may have been a mod I did, but didn't
know what. Since I didn't hear back from you, I decided To rename the
web directory and put a fresh copy of ecweb in to see if it was
something I might have done. Still not able to play the games with the
new fresh copy without mods. I have no idea why it would have been
working great, then stopped... Any Ideas.
was your browser updated? what about your flash if flash is what is being used to access the telnet side? perhaps your live antivirus is getting in the way? there's a lot of things outside of the BBS that could cause problems...

Nothing has changed, and don't use flash, I use htmlterm. I'll check the virus protection, but nothing has updated since it quit working. I really hoping it's something simple that ec already knows about... Thanks

Does the ecWeb door game interface use RLogin? Have you tested the RLogin functionality of your board? Are you seeing any activity in the Terminal Server (e.g. log output) when you attempt to play a game from ecWeb?

UPDATE: Apparently something changed. For grins and giggles, I tried using another computer with firefox, and everything works great. The problem occurs when I use the web browser on the bbs server itself, which is Sea Monkey. I just tried IE on the web server, and it worked, so apparently, Sea Monkey is blocking something, and I will have to figure out what. Sorry for the false alarm, I just never figured a browser that was working, and was never updated would suddenly stop performing a single task. Thanks Rob, at least you got me thinking :)

it might be the fact that you are trying to connect to it "from the BBS computer" I cannot connect to my hostname from my bbs computer because my router, however I can connect to my internal IP, and some of the items on ecweb does call services by hostname. I even have my hostname setup on this linux machine and can still only connect to my internal ip address.. anyone outside my router has no issues.
