    Hello,

Is there something special that needs to be done for another user on my BBS to send internet email? I have the only option I know of in scfg enabled. I can send as sysop without issue but not as a normal user. Even upped the user to level 90 with no luck (is local friend I wouldn't try this with random people lol). as soon as you enter the subject and press enter it just aborts the message.

    Thanks

Also depending on your net connection, many mail providers Hotmail etc, do not allow smtp connection by a residential IP and outgoing email will bounce. Under mail server settings > relay tab > add your isp's outgoing mail server and port.

I do not host this at my house. I have a dedicated server from OVH that I use for my BBS and other items.

    Thanks

Gotcha.. Are you running a Windows or Linux server on OVH? Are you running Binkd as well? Reason I'm asking is i have a Linux server on Vultr.

New to Synchronet but a Wildcat SysOp since 1991. Would love to move my Sync setup to the Vultr server if it will run under Linux?

    Thanks, Ed
