Hi all!
I'm recovery several old qwk files from my ancient bbs (and anothers) from a friend that have backups of your downloads (most worldgroup systems)
I like (if possible) to try to import all messages to my actual SBBS setup.
i have, for example:
DOCKSUD.001
DOCKSUD.002
MHBBS.001
MHBBS.002
MILENIUM.001
MILENIUM.002
MILENIUM.003
etc..
All are qwk files (dowloaded in these days by my friend as normal user)
I have many questions about how to make this process.
first, any magic tool to do it? for example convert/export qwk to another format?
I thinking about setup as "fake qwk hub" for each system to permit inject these file into the message areas
but i see that have a internal number (1 to n) .
Can i have same internal conference number across two message group?
for each bbs
create message group
for each bbs packet
maybe can i create/update areas in that group with these internal id number?
import the qwk files
process next file
renumber the imported areas to avoid collision
process next "bbs"
do you it it possible change the conference number post creation and avoid collateral damages?
Any crazy idea will be apreciated!
