What is this related to?

The json-service.js. It's required for some of the JS door games. You can disable it if in your ctrl/services.ini if you can't make it work for some reason.

Ahh ok, so where is this credential coming from - I guess I am asking how do I rectify this password error

I'm not really sure as I didn't write that module. I think if you have a sysop account (user #1) it's supposed to "just work". Have you created the sysop account yet?

Yup, sysop account created. I think I remember the first time I fired up the bbs I didn't have any errors, but after logging in for the first time and creating the sysop account and guest account from that point I started to get the json error when loading sbbs.
