Anyone know how I can port an RSS feed to a message sub? Similar to the "Debate/CNN news sub on DoveNet?

Anyone know how I can port an RSS feed to a message sub? Similar to the
"Debate/CNN news sub on DoveNet? Check your 'exec' directory for a
file called 'web_feed_importer.js'. There are some setup instructions
in the comments at the top of the file. I wrote that script about a
year ago, then got distracted and/or lost interest in it. It works but IIRC needs a few improvements. I could put some more work into it if there's something that needs to be done.I would caution against running this script against a networked message area unless other participants
are okay with it. I would also recommend testing it in a throwaway
local sub board just to make sure it doesn't do anything crazy/spammy
in an area that you care about. (It worked fine the last time I
checked, but who knows.)---echicken electronic chicken bbs - bbs.electronicchicken.com - 416-273-7230
It's working fine ec... I was the one who asked yuo to update it a tad andstill waiting. Seems as if it's not catching the </P> and just continues on and one with no breaks...

Sorry aboot that. I'll try to take a look at it soon. Can you point
me at a feed that it's having this problem with? I'll try to reproduce (and then fix) the issue.

Later on I might be better off looking for something that strips out
HTML and does sensible things around formatting the result as plain
text.
