Has anyone got any advance knowledge is windows 10, 32 bit, will run Synchronet, and the old dos doors. They are offering windows 10 for free, and I'm curious. Thanks

I haven't tried Windows 10 yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't run Synchronet. Also, I don't see a reason Microsoft would remove the 16-bit DOS virtual machine from a 32-bit Windows - hopefully it's still there.

There are non-16-bit doorgames, now more than ever. That said, I still run a Win7-32 VM strictly for 16-bit DOS game support (and testing).

i know of maybe 5 of them. i'd rather run 16bit doorgames. especially when synchronet can kill them easily if the user hangs up.

i'm a registered owner of one 32bit doorgame and i had to stop using it because it was making 4gig sql backups.

Actually I didn't know that NTVDM was not installed by the upgrade to Windows 10. When I did get it installed, I still could not run the 16bit doors.
Then I found out to disabl NTVDM, then open a command prompt window, go to properties and check Legacy. Then go back to windows features and enable NTVDM. Then all the doors worked except one that was misconfigured.

I imagine you could probably use the 32-bit edition of Windows 10 to run DOS apps. Ruben Figueroa posted a message here saying he's running his BBS in Windows 10.

My bbs running Mystic is under windows 10, 32-bit. I am looking at putting my Wildcat and Synchronet bbs under windows 10, 32-bit.

What problems? I am also now running Synchronet on windows 10 32
bit. So far so good. No major problems

I was asked if I wanted to install that <G> I thought however, that the classic setup only referred to the way the command window was presented. According to the M$ website, the new cmd/dos window installation does so much more then it did in previous versions of windows. Dunno about that.
