• Keyboard TimeOut

From Zazz@VERT/PBSYNC to All on Saturday, July 11, 2015 09:36:42
Where on God's green acre can I make an exception for the sysop on keyboard timeout. Someone, please be kind to this 64 yr old fart with cataracts, where it is. I have looked in all the places I think, like the user file and in scfg and have looked through documentation, granted not all of it.

Many thanks in advance to those that respond.

Toggle Exemption "H" for inactivity. Sorry about your cataracts but you are still a kid from some of our points of view.

The sysop account (user #1) should automatically have the 'H' exemption. Did you remove it from your account? I would double-check all the exemptions and security level/flags set for your sysop account to make sure everthing is in order.

Didn't make any changes to the user account other that adding the H exemption.
Looking at the user, there are no other flags set and security is at level 99.

Are there certain defaults I need to further check?

if you have the h exemption, it will work.
if you need to know about the other exemptions and restrictions, look in the synchronet documention.

The default sysop account (created when logging on for the first time when there are no users in the userbase) has *all* flags and exemption flags set.

Don't know what happened but the sysop account did not have the H exemption on my first install.
