got a problem well actually 2 i think my sync is bugged for some reason it didnt send a packet for last hr so i think i have to redo this msg, but i got it to send out finally.
i am running sync 3.16 with bink and bre league
i have sbbs config with netmail dir at sbbs\echomail
echocfg is set to binkley flo
all league game dirs incoming set to \bink\in (this seems to work so far)
all league game dirs outgoing set to \bink\out.021 (this is where bink usually sends this nodes mail from)
with this setup when i run outbound commands all files are left in game outbound dirs and bink doesnt send
i tried copying the files to all of the above mentioned dirs and bink still wont forward em

anything i am missing besides a brain lol??

In your binkd config did you add the outbox to that node info?

node 1:249/306 99.252.27.46 password d c:\\binkd\\out.021 (I know wrong node numbes etc, but you get the idea.)

    This may help.

OK, I'm going to try and decifer this as much as possible.

First, create a dummy netmail folder for BRE to use. In BRE's config, point netmail to that folder and use Frontdoor style netmail.

Next you need to create a "filebox" for your uplink. You can check the binkd docs for that. It's very easy.

Now, here comes the somewhat tricky part. When you run your batch file to create the outbound file, you must use the move /Y command to move it from your ../bre/outbound to your uplinks filebox. binkd will see the file there and then do the transfer.

Viola... you're done. No need for any messy .cut files anymore.

    Hope this helps..

yes its workin fine now as it turns out all i had to do was add a dir called advnet to my out directory and point the games outgoing stuff there, now they are sending no problem

so if i understand fully why a dummy folder? wont it work just to point bre to my inbound folder in bink where my league coords files get dumped?
as for a filebox i think i got that figured out i made this line in my bink.cfg

    node 33:2100/1 binkp.kofobbs.dk password c d:\\sbbs\\bink\\out\\advnet\\

and i have a batch file that moves from bre outbound to that folder

as soon as i made that line and moved my game files from outbound dirs they got uploaded smooth as pie
also, you talk of moving them into a file? what if there are multiple files created? i presume you mean move *.* to the \advnet dir for upload

yes this is very informative, i guess the only part i am having problems with at this point is where to point the dirs to, i currently have my games set to my bink\in
    and my outbounds to \bink\out\advnet
as i said earlier i ran a batch to copy all the outbound files from game outbound dirs to advnet dir and they uploaded no prob do i have to copy the files from in to inbound dirs as well?
from what i have seen so far the games are properly receiving the inbound files at least i dont have any cluttering my inbox hehe, its the outbounds that i didnt see moving
i can live with just doing batch files but according to my league coord if the dirs are set correctly the games should in/out with no additional help
i hope this isnt too confusing and i really appreciate your help its been almost 25 years since i ran my 2 phone line 14400 spitfire board hehe so much has changed with the advent of telnet and rlogin, etc. that sometimes i feel totally lost and its frustrating to read all the docs, set it up accordingly and find nothing is working right lol.
but, i think after i get this league functioning properly the others i want will be a 2 min setup

OK, I did say wrong this and that probably, and that the main structure of the node line in Binkd was there. Just make the changes

yep i currently have made these 2 changes and i will know in half hour if they successfully deliver the packets or not

i made the outbound dirs for all games my \sbbs\echomail dir as thats where i have netmail set to in synchronet config
i have created a directory in \bink\out\ called advnet\ as per instructions from my league boss
and i made this my binkd line
    node 1:249/306 99.999.999.99 password c d:\\sbbs\\bink\\out\\advnet\\
this should do the trick, as the netmail should be triggered in echomail dir and delivered through advnet outbox i think thats right anyhow hehe :)

dumped? as for a filebox i think i got that figured out i made this
    line in my bink.cfg

BRE will create a *.MSG/file attach that was once used by Frontdoor to move files. Being you're using a "filebox" for your uplink, binkd doesn't need that file to tell it where to send it to.

    node 33:2100/1 binkp.kofobbs.dk password c
    d:\\sbbs\\bink\\out\\advnet\\

and i have a batch file that moves from bre outbound to that folder

also, you talk of moving them into a file? what if there are multiple files created? i presume you mean move *.* to the \advnet dir for
    upload

Good... binkd is doin what it supposed to do. BRE will create your outbound files in ../bre/outbound. uSe the following in your batch file when you want to send files....

    (Remember to change path statements..)

    cd c:\sbbs\xtrn\bre46\outbound
    move /y 046b*.* c:\fd\league46

Now you're also going to need to change the league # as well... looks like you're League is 33... so the file you'd be moving is: 033b*.* to your filebox or whatever # your league is using. The created file will let you know.

    Hope this helps..
