Can someone point me to a tutorial or docs on setting up d'bridge with synchronet? Don't mind learning or studying, not want to be spoon feed either, just need a lead.

Can't use binkd because from what I found you need to compile and I am neither a programmer or have the tools to do so. I did read Deuce file on bind and the config for binkd but unless I can produce an executable, doesn't do me any good.

Well if there is any help in this echo I thank you in advance, if no help thanks for reading this message.

You only need to compile binkd on linux and those sort of OSs. There are binaries available for windows and OS/2 at least.

Read the binkd.faq that is posted in the fido binkd area for more info.

If it changes your mind at all, there are pre-compiled binaries around for binkd.

    I would not recommend D'bridge. It's still a 16-bit DOS program.

There are several native 32-bit FTN mailers. I would recommend using one of them:
    http://wiki.synchro.net/resource:fidonet_mailer

Can't use binkd because from what I found you need to compile and I am neither a programmer or have the tools to do so.

You can download compiled BinkD binaries for Windows. e.g. ftp://vert.synchro.net/main/BBS/BINKD095.ZIP

I did read Deuce file on
bind and the config for binkd but unless I can produce an executable, doesn't do me any good.

    Just download it: ftp://cvs.happy.kiev.ua/pub/fidosoft/mailer/binkd/

Well if there is any help in this echo I thank you in advance, if no help thanks for reading this message.

If you still prefer to run D'Bridge, I would look into its documentation for any Synchronet-specific setup tips.

Synchronet message base is not (yet) supported. Version 4 is on the horizon, and I think Nick mentioned that will be a 32 bit version. Not sure what other goodies he may have added.
