When I log into other Synchronet systems, I am always greated with a messages from SBBSecho stating I have messages in the certain areas, but I never get these messages on my system for me. I have my fionet batch file with the following lines, which should produce the messages.
echo *** Processing Inbound & Outbound Mail ***
c:
cd\sbbs\exec
C:\SBBS\EXEC\SBBSECHO /LESR!
C:\SBBS\EXEC\SBBSECHO /LINF
What am I missing, or does the sysop even able to recieve the telegram message from SBBSecho. Thanks
Is it possible that your BBS account's alias or 'real name' field
doesn't match the destination user of the FidoNet echomail messages?
My bad, It's working, I just forgot it doesn't work on QWK echos. Since I get Dovenet on QWK, and not FTN, I would not get a message. Are there plans for this in the future for QWK? Sorry for the confusion Rob.... Don't ever get old :(
if you are connecting to a msg network on another synchronet bbs, try nntp. it's easy to setup and works great.

Ok, never tried nntp, but I'll give it a shot, sounds interesting, but whats that got to do with SBBSecho and telegram notification. I figured
out what was happening. SBBSecho telegram notifications only work with FTN, not QWK, and I didn't stop to realize that some of the boards I log
Nothing except "I can't explain sbbsecho to you in 80 characters or less, so I won't bother. Use NNTP instead. Don't ask why, just do it."
:D
(Maybe it could/should - I'll leave that for greater minds than mine to think about.)
