• Weird sorting on message forums

From Sam Alexander@VERT/2400BAUD to All on Saturday, April 11, 2015 08:47:28
Hi all. I've just started setting-up another board, and after adding Dove-Net I downloaded all the messages but the sorting is way out of wack. For example Vert is showing 1030 messages on General and me 1029 but the 1030 message on Vert is my message# 126. It's like the newest aren't going to the highest message number. Is there any way to resort the messages in the forums by date?

    Thanks--
    Sam

Quick follow-up to this. I think what happened was I connected to Dove with the setting to only pull down new emails, then I went back and reset it to pull down all messages so I could get my system caught-up. For this the new messages all got shifted to the beginning and the older messages at the end. Is there any simple way to just wipe out all the Dove-Net forums on my board and redownload them all so I can start anew?

    Thanks --

delete the data files, login to vert on your qwk acct, change the msg pointers to what you want, and then poll the msgs again.

they arent really forums, they're msg bases.

You're not going to get every message on your poll. It'll take multiple QWKnet polls to get all the DOVE-Net messages from all the subs. Once that has occurred, I would definitely expect that your messages and order should be very
similar to what you see on Vert. No sorting is applied in the normal message reader in the Terminal Server.
