Is it possable to turn on SEEN-BY in the message body for just one fidonet echo. I have a user that is swearing up and down her messages are not being handled correctly, and I want to track them easly for a bit. Thanks

there is definitely a problem but it may not be with your system... i've been watching the conversations and know who you are speaking of... the problem seems to actually be on an intermediate system but i can't confirm that one way
or the other... it has been spoken of over the years that some traffic just gets lost when it hit that system but there's never been any way to actuall show it... if your feed were to attach to a different upstream, it could solve the problem... getting them to switch may be fun ;)

Synchronet (or more specifically, SBBSecho) doesn't have an option to store FTN
SEEN-BYs in the message body. Instead, it has an option to store FTN SEEN-BYs in the message header which can be displayed (by the sysop) using smbutil or the [O]perator, [H]eader command while reading messages via the Terminal Server
(Telnet, SSH, and RLogin). You can just configure SBBSecho to store seen-bys and when there's a reported problem, just use the operator command mentioned above to view the message's header and see the SEEN-BYs.

Thanks Mark, I really want to fix the issue, as this user we both know is a good person, and a regular user of my system. I know the problem is not with my system, but I was trying to narrow it down. I feed directly from the Hub, and I don't think I have enough evidence to convince the hub to change feeds. Thanks for the feedback, it did answer some questions.

Ok, Thanks, I remember reading that yesterday. That may be the ticket, as it will not clutter up the actual text of the message. I'll go ahead and turn that on, and use that method. Thanks Rob.
