I'd like to know, too -- I'm adding some automation to the BBS and would like to be able to email the results.

I was told smbutil doesn't do netmail or email previously by DM. I wanted to automate my MOD UPD to the echolist monthly by creating an event... no go....

use blat. i use it for bbs of the day on facebook and other stuff.
Easy fix. Set up a private echo, that only you can read, specifically for that purpose.

SMBUTIL won't do FidoNet netmail (well, technically, it's SBBSecho that won't pull the FidoNet netmail from the mail base), but in anycase, SMBUTIL will import a message for private email or Internet email just fine.

Not as easy as SMBUTIL posting to netmail, but you could set up that private echo, then use the listserv feature to send to an email
address. Thanks for the idea!
