sounds like something is not configured properly to recognize external IP addresses, although I'm not sure why that would be the case.

Apparently you have 192.168.1.1 in your text/ip.can file. You should probably remove any 192.168.* or 10.* addresses from your filter files.

192.168.* is a "private address", which means the message was posted by a client attached to the BBSes local area (private) network. This is not uncommon and represents a sysop's client connection to his own BBS, most likely.

Yeah, weird -- 192.168.1.1 is the address of my router, but I see external IPs just fine in my other logs. I'll mark it up to a NAT glitch in my
router and give it a reboot.
