I've been messing around with trying to either upgrade the stock version of FreeDOS or install MS-DOS 6.22 in DOSEMU. The version of FreeDOS that comes with DOSEMU (installed from repos in Ubuntu) seems rather old so I'd like
to either upgrade it or swap it for MS-DOS 6.22 which I have numerous licenses for.
Has anyone tried this and got it to work?
I messed around with this back in February. I know I'm on dosemu 1.4.0.8 now, but I don't recall what I settled on with FreeDOS. I had one or two stubborn DOS games I couldn't get to run, so I tried changing everything. Not sure that it made any difference, unfortunately.
