Ah, don't think anybody's got to worry about pointing me in any directions for that, except maybe for the apache stuff in order to avoid having both synchronet & apache handling HTTP requests and using up extra mem (er, I would assume, but then again apache is bloatware). It appears to have been an OS issue causing longtime delays on being able to send information over the incorrectly packet filtered interface. :)
