  • Ftp Error

    I was getting errors in the log for:

    ftp 0036 !PASV ERROR -1 (98) binding socket to port 10000.

    My PasvPort Range in sbbs.ini is set to 9900-9999.

    Yeah, Googlebot was having its way with my ftp server recently it appears.

    Tonight I have Googlebot from 3 different ip numbers hitting the ftp
    server. :) You will never have my elite warez dood!

    Easiest way to block Google from your FTP site is to add the line "googlebot@google.com" (no quotes) to your text/email.can file.

    The GoogleBOT is my biggest User.... Google logs my BBS more than I do. Log for the FTP window always shows Google leeching my the Files.BBS or Index.TXT...???? Maybe the BBS is getting index! Could be a good thing???
