BTW, I've been meaning to ask.. have you been having problems lately with yo old wi.rr.com email settings? I had to switch recently to "mail.twc.com" for POP and SMTP servers after a long discussion with tier 3 support. I had them stumped, and was kinda giggling about it.

i am still using smtp-server.xxx and i just sent a test email from my
bbs to gmail and it went through.
wait until the comcrap buyout happens. that's going to be fun.
Either way, one benefit is that Comcast offers faster internet speeds than TWC, and I'm currently in the process of setting everything up with Netflix and Hulu Plus in order to free ourselves from the ridiculous pricing of cabl TV. I'm already paying enough with all the equipment we need for 3 TVs to wo decent - then they send me a letter in the past week or two that says next bill my rates are going up due to "their continued care for the customer in making sure all channels are available to you [blah blah]."
This hike will probably break the $200/month barrier I never wanted to even come close to. So screw them. I'll downgrade to internet only, get their fastest speed (100mbit now I believe), and hit up Netflix and Hulu Plus for $16/month instead.
if i were you i'd just join a torrent site and download the few tv shows you watch.

I highly recommend subscribing to Giganews (about $12/month I think) and get your TV shows from newsgroups. Feds/RIAA/MPAA completely ignores newsgroups most releases come to newsgroups first.
Friend of mine has a system setup that pulls all new episodes for all TV programs to his 74TB Drobo and they are accessable via Plex (Great program turns your PC into a DLNA server) online or at his home on any device. Commercial free, HD, usually available minues after the show airs.
using the capacity calculator, and adding 4tb drives you can only get 43.65tb on the drobo. i think i only have about 15tb total at home scattered across various computers, about 6tb on my media server.
