I just noticed today that my youngest daughter (age 5) shows up as being
105 on the BBS.
Her birthday is in 2009. If I change the year to 2008, she shows up as 6 years old. If I change it to 2010 or 2011, she shows up as 104 or 103 years old.
So, a couple questions:
* Is there any fix I can make for this on my end? I filter some things on
my BBS by age.
* Is there any thought to making Synchronet store birthdays as 4-digit
years rather than 2-digit?

I know you don't see it while you're posting, but could you please turn off the avast! message at the bottom of your posts when you reply via newsgroups please?
This is actually proper etiquette even on alt.fetish.footjob.robot.sex, I'm sure. :D

I had no clue it was even doing this and must have something to do
with a recent avast auto-update.
I see no way to turn off the tagline in the interface so i disabled
the mail shield or whatever they call it.

You should be able to keep your mail shield on, but going to the mail shield settings > Behavio General tab, and uncheck the "Insert note into clean message (outgoing) box. And hell, it probably wouldn't hurt to uncheck both insertions of notes into clean messages (incoming and outgoing), unless you want that crap in your messages at all.

I've been on Dovenet for about 9 months now, and you've seen no complaints from me along those lines, right?

open your avast settings and go to the mail shield settings... under behavoi uncheck the option for "insert note into clean message (outgoing)"... that should do it... i have all three of those unchecked on my few remaining winboxen that use avast...
